Since 2011

TWELVE CHAIRS.ONE STANDARD.

We started with four chairs and a hand-written list taped to the mirror. The list is gone. Nothing else about how we cut has changed.

The room

SPEED IS A HABIT, NOT A SHORTCUT.

Eight more chairs did not make us faster. Cutting the same way twelve times over did.

The second room opened in 2015 because the wait on a Saturday had gone past an hour and people were leaving. We could have taken bookings instead. We took the wall down.

Every barber on the bench learns the same four cuts before they touch a paying head, and every one of them can hand a chair over mid-fade without the customer noticing. That is the whole trick. It is not glamorous and it took us thirteen years.

Timeline

FOUR DATES THAT MATTER.

2011

Four chairs on Grand

Ray opened with three barbers, a hand-written waiting list and a sign that said walk-ins only. Nobody has been turned away for not booking since.
2015

The wall came down

Saturday waits had passed an hour. We took the storeroom wall out instead of taking appointments, and the queue halved overnight.
2019

Twelve chairs running

The last four went in along the north wall. Average time in the chair dropped to thirty-five minutes and has not moved since.
2024

The apprentice bench

Two years, four cuts, a hundred supervised heads. Three of the twelve came up through it and the fourth starts in spring.

We do not sell you a look. We cut what grows on your head, the way it wants to sit, and we do it again in four weeks.

House rules

THREE THINGS WE WILL NOT TRADE.

The blend gets its minutes

A queue out the door has never been a reason to rush the back of somebody's head.

The price on the wall

Same rate on a Tuesday morning as on a Saturday afternoon, and no surcharge for thick hair.

The list stays honest

Nobody jumps the queue, including us. If we quote you twenty minutes, it is twenty minutes.

COME AND SEE THE ROOM.

Twelve chairs, no appointment, and someone at the front who will tell you the truth about the wait.
